Practice News

Dear Patients, a message from Mrs Amy Lamb (Practice Nurse)

  Dear all,

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for their continues support and understanding during these difficult times. We are very grateful for all your support and will continue to help and advise in the coming months.

Secondary I would like to announce some good news, I am currently expecting my second baby. Unfortunately, due to the continuing covid cases and rising numbers of infections, I must take extra precautions due to this as pre government guidelines. So, I am writing to you today to explain what changes this may be for an appointment with me.

This is to ensure the safety of vulnerable patients, vulnerable staff and my own and my baby's safety.

From now until the 31st of January if you have an appointment at the surgery you will be asked if you or anyone in your household is displaying any covid system? If you or anyone in your household as tested positive in the last 10 days? You will be asked also to wear a face covering.

If you answer yes to the questions, then you may be asked to rebook your appointment later or with another member of staff.  Our team will endeavour to support and assist you.

From the 3rd of February 2022 I will be working from home doing telephone assessments.  This means Suzanne and Heather will be in practice, helping to cover for my leave. You may also see a locum nurse at times also. The surgery will endeavour to continue to support and provide appointments as best as possible, but please understand if you may have to wait a little longer for appointments or be directed to other services.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding, support and assistance at this time and loo forward to seeing you all again later this year when I return to work. I would also like to thank our amazing SUNNISIDE team for all their support also.

Yours faithfully

Amy lamb
